During this post you will gain experience in general paediatrics embracing paediatric medicine, neonatal and paediatric surgery, ambulatory care and A&E. The experience obtained is extensive and is enhanced by the fact that all consultants have sub-speciality interests. The consultant of the week provides close supervision and teaching at the bedside, and leads the daily post take ward rounds. Experience in examination of the newborn can be arranged. Opportunities to attend outpatients are available, both in general and specialist clinics run by Brighton Paediatricians and in joint clinics with visiting consultants from the teaching centres.

All paediatrics will be moving to a new stunning children’s hospital on the RSCH site in the summer of 2007.
