How the system works in a very small nutshell:

The most common route to becoming a GP is that once you finished medical school you move onto the Foundation Years (FY) training. You begin to apply for GP as a Specialist training just after FY1.

Once you have chosen GP as a Specialty training you will undergo the Selection Process which is divided into stages.

Once you're though that you can then apply to KSS and choose which scheme you would like to join.
