The Sussex Postgraduate Medical Centre is the administrative base for the Brighton GP Specialty Training Programme and where the training programme takes place. The Centre is situated within the Audrey Emerton Building, Education Centre, which is the Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals main training facility on the Royal Sussex County Hospital campus. It is one of the many new developments within the Trust and provides state of the art facilities for training with two main lecture theatres, sixteen teaching rooms, clinical skills lab, IT training room and excellent library facilities. The restaurant located on the top floor is open from 8am to 8pm providing opportunities to socialise before or after your training or at other times. Brighton & Hove is a cosmopolitan and growing new city with a rich selection of places for you to visit. It has many museums and galleries, a lively arts scene, the Royal Pavillion, and of course the seafront and pier. The Royal Sussex County Hospital and Audrey Emerton Building are located in the Kemp Town area of the city close to the Marina and within walking distance of many hotels and shops, including the famous lanes shopping district. So as well as being an excellent place to train, a diverse and exciting social scene is available to you.
